Triune sacrifice IV

Material and economic sacrifice prove where our trust and heart are.

God ordered Moses to ask the people, not to oblige them, but to ask, no one is obliged to sacrifice what is material or economic to God, it has to be something from the person to Him, and take a look from whom He receives the sacrifice:

“And Moses spoke to all the congregation of the children of Israel, saying, “This is the thing which the Lord commanded, saying: ‘Take from among you an offering to the Lord. Whoever is of a willing heart, let him bring it as an offering to the Lord …’” Exodus 35:4-5

Not everyone is fit to sacrifice because not everyone has a generous and willing heart. Not everyone has decided to remove the heart – the trust – from the material things and place them in God. And God will not oblige nor curse, God will not force anyone and say: “You are going to trust in Me!”, “Take the trust you have in the business, money, bonus, wages, goods, savings, and place it on Me!”.

  • Firstly, because God doesn’t need anything, God as the Creator needs absolutely nothing! He is Self-sufficient.
  • Secondly, God doesn’t accept anything forced, because by doing that, there is no faith, no trust. He expects a generous, willing and spontaneous attitude from each one of us, expressing without words that: “I believe, I trust, I want”.
  • Thirdly, God has already made His Willing Sacrifice for us, and now He expects us to do the same for Him.
  • The fourth reason is that, we are the ones that need to sacrifice, to detach ourselves from things and to mature in our faith, trust, obedience, and dependence on God in practice.

“Whoever is of a willing heart, let him bring it as an offering to the Lord: gold, silver, and bronze…” Exodus 35:5

And the list of what each one could offer within their capability follows.

And for those that say “That’s something from the Old Testament”, take a look at what Jesus says in regards to the Kingdom of Heaven (in the Gospel of Matthew 13.45,46), the Kingdom of God here on Earth is the Holy Spirit in us and after death, we will inherit  Eternal Life, the Kingdom of Heaven, not through giving money or goods to the Church or God, because no one can buy Salvation, we receive Salvation through surrendering our life to Jesus as our Only Lord and Saviour:

“Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant seeking beautiful pearls, who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had and bought it.” Matthew 13:45-46

To you who is judging, condemning, accusing us… because we are associating life’s transformation, the Campaign, God with the trinity of the spiritual sacrifice, emotional and finally monetary or economic, if you want to criticise, then criticise Jesus, because it was Him that taught and left registered in His Word and compared the Kingdom of Heaven to a pearl of great price and that to get it, the person has to let go of everything, but willingly.

The merchant was not obliged, he did it because he believed and wanted to obtain that pearl that was worth all things, that was of great value.

It’s the same thing to receive the Holy Spirit, when we value Him more than ourselves, more than people and things, we sacrifice spirituality, emotionally and economically to receive Him, and in this way, we receive great richness and become children of God, and consequently: we become the husband, the father, the citizen, the employee, the Christian that we should be, and just to add, we are fulfilled in everything!

We will see each other at the UCKG or in the Clouds.
